Description

Swim alongside playful sea lions and watch for marine life hiding in the rocky reefs, including spiny lobster, octopus, rays, and schools of colorful fish, all set against a rugged coastline and unique underwater terrain.

IMPORTANT: This tour is designed for good swimmers. While many guests are first-time ocean snorkelers, participants must be comfortable swimming in deep water without a life jacket and able to handle normal ocean conditions, including waves, currents, and shore entry/exit. Life jackets and flotation devices are not permitted.

Join a guided snorkeling tour at La Jolla Cove, widely considered one of the best snorkeling locations in San Diego and part of a protected marine sanctuary. Snorkel from La Jolla Cove through Emerald Cove and past the dramatic sea caves lining the coastline.

Your tour includes the use of a mask, snorkel, fins, and wetsuit, all provided by experienced local guides.

  • Minimum weight: 90 lbs (41 kg)
  • Ages 12–17 must snorkel with a parent or legal guardian
  • Participants must be comfortable swimming in deep water without a life jacket
  • Flotation devices and life jackets not permitted at this site
  • Wetsuits are required and available up to 300 lbs
  • Parking is limited · allow at least 30 minutes
  • Tours depart on time. Guests more than 10 minutes late are considered no shows
