Discover the medieval city of York on a guided walking tour. Navigate through 2,000 years of history since it was founded by the Roman Empire. Walk the famous 'Snickelways', hidden alleyways with stories dating back to Anglo-Saxon, Viking, and Norman times.
Get lost along its medieval streets, full of old overhanging timber-framed houses, very well preserved, the majority of them standing in the historical city center for over 600 years.
Explore parts of the City Walls, Museum Gardens, the ruins of Saint Mary's Abbey, a massive medieval monastery, historical gardens, the York Minster Cathedral, one of the largest Gothic churches in Europe, Mansion House, Stonegate, Shambles street, recognized as the primary inspiration for the production of Harry Potter, St. William's College, the Roman Tower, more history and architecture over the River Ouse, the medieval Market quarter, Clifford's Tower, where the impressive York Castle once stood.
