Description
Take in three of England’s historic sites in one day on a tour to Stonehenge, Bath, and Windsor from London. Learn about the ancient stone circle at Stonehenge, follow in the footsteps of the Romans at the UNESCO-listed city of Bath, and explore the riverside town of Windsor.
Start your day by traveling from London in an air-conditioned mini-coach, toward the ancient kingdom of Wessex, where the world-famous Stonehenge monument is located. With a history spanning 5,000 years, this stone circle continues to be shrouded in mystery and myth.
Next, arrive in Bath to learn about the mark left by both the Romans and Georgians. Afterward, the remainder of the tour will be spent in Windsor, home to the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world, Windsor Castle.
Learn the history of the royal residence as you enter the state apartments and reception rooms. Admire fine furniture and paintings, then visit St. George's Chapel, the final resting place of English kings and queens like Henry VIII and Elizabeth II. Finish your tour by traveling back to London.
- Windsor Castle is a working Royal residence, and as such can be subject to last-minute closures.
- St George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day so you will not be able to enter the chapel. Access to St George’s Chapel may be limited on busy days and during service.
- On Tuesday & Wednesday Windsor Castle does not open. On these days we will still visit Windsor Town but entry to the Castle will not be possible. We will include entry to the Roman Baths instead, and then when in Windsor your guide will conduct a walking tour of this beautiful, historic town which will include photo opportunities of the Castle. (applicable to Tuesday & Wednesday only)
