Description

This two-day small-group trip from Washington, D.C. takes you to one of the world’s great natural wonders and back, with a night right at the falls. You’ll see Niagara by daylight and again after dark, when the cascades glow under colored lights.
Day one heads north from Washington, D.C. to Niagara Falls, where you’ll take in Horseshoe Falls, American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls from a range of viewpoints. Add the optional Classic Tour for Whirlpool Park, the Cave of the Winds, and the famous Maid of the Mist boat ride into the mist below the falls. After dark, the night tour leads deep into the park, with multi-angle views from Ram Island and Moon Island and the three falls lit up in shifting colors. When fireworks are scheduled, you’ll be there to see them. Overnight is at the falls.
Day two offers an optional stop at the world-renowned Corning Museum of Glass, the heart of the American glass industry, with around 100,000 pieces on display and live glassmaking demonstrations, before the comfortable drive back to Washington, D.C.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Day 1: Washington D.C. → Harrisburg → Buffalo → Niagara Falls (New York) → Niagara Falls Classic Tour (optional, 150 mins; Whirlpool Park → Cave of the Winds → Maid of the Mist) → Niagara Falls Night View Tour (90 mins)
Note: the Maid of the Mist usually closes in winter and is not visited during the closure.
Hotel: Wyndham Garden at Niagara Falls, or similar
Day 2: Hotel → The Corning Museum of Glass (optional, 90 mins) → Washington D.C.
