This is not a traditional group tour. It’s an intimate, small-group day trip with a local host, combining nature, history, authentic food, and the freedom to explore at your own pace. With a maximum of just 7 guests, the atmosphere is completely relaxed.

Walk through a quiet national park to Visegrád Castle.

We depart Budapest from Batthyány Square at 9:00 AM (or via hotel pickup) in a premium Mercedes minibus featuring leather seats and a face-to-face conference layout for a comfortable, social ride.
Our day begins in the quiet of nature. We take a 4,6 km long, gentle, scenic 75-minute downhill walk through the protected Danube-Ipoly National Park, following the historic paths of royal hunting grounds. The walk is easy and suitable for all fitness levels. However, it may be challenging for those with significant overweight, mobility issues, or age-related physical limitations.

The forest trails lead us right to the historic Visegrád Castle, dramatically overlooking the Danube Bend. I will share local stories and give you a brief audio introduction, then leave you free to explore the fortress and capture the panoramic views at your own pace. The entrance fee (8 Euros for Adults and 4 Euros for Students) is not included in the tour price.

Savor authentic local Hungarian food

Next, we escape the tourist traps and stop for lunch at a hidden restaurant in the forest where local people actually eat. You can experience traditional, everyday Hungarian dishes in a genuine setting. Lunch is at your own expense, and I'll gladly help you pick the best local flavors.

Explore Szentendre with a local host

In the afternoon, we visit Szentendre, a colorful riverside town of cobbled streets, galleries, and cafés. I’ll guide you to the Main Square and hand you a local map with my personal recommendations.
You’ll have free time to explore independently—or, if you like, you can join me at a cozy café for coffee and local pastries.
Our premium minibus departs at 5:00 PM. If you wish to stay longer, you are welcome to remain and return to Budapest later on your own via the scenic public boat or the HÉV train.
