Description

Guests are picked up and dropped off at their hotel, within a 2-mile radius of the French Quarter. If the guest is not staying within 2 miles of the French Quarter, there is a meeting spot in front of Jackson Square (701 Decatur St.). Guests will be driven for a 75-minute drive to Oak Alley Plantation, where we’ll get a sneak peek of the plantation as we drive. Along the way, you’ll get to snap some photos of 6 other plantations and learn a bit about them. After that, you’ll have about 3 hours to explore this National Historic Landmark, which is all about preserving and sharing the history of its people, especially its time as a working sugarcane plantation. You can check out the exhibits, wander under the famous Allee of Oak Trees, and tour the big house. You’re welcome to grab lunch at the restaurant or deli, or maybe just relax in the gift shop, at the bar, or simply enjoy the shade of the many oak trees on the plantation. We would depart the area at 1 p.m. and arrive back to New Orleans between 2:15pm-2:30 p.m.
