Description

San Francisco shines brighter during the holidays, and there’s no better way to experience the festive atmosphere than from the top deck of a Big Bus. As evening falls, the city comes alive with twinkling lights, dazzling displays and the joyful spirit of the season.

Your journey begins at Fisherman’s Wharf, where you’ll board an open-top double-decker bus for a panoramic ride through some of San Francisco’s most festive neighborhoods.

See the glittering Christmas tree in Union Square, admire the illuminated towers along 555 California Street and enjoy the magical glow of the Embarcadero waterfront. Travel through vibrant Chinatown, charming Nob Hill and lively SOMA, each transformed by seasonal lights and decorations.

Along the way, look out for spectacular ILLUMINATE SF™ art installations, turning the city into an open-air gallery of light and creativity.

Good to know before you go
  • Departure location: Stop #6 (Union Square South, 280 Geary St, opposite Macy's entrance, next to steps)
  • Drop-off location: Pier 39. The Embarcadero, bus stop outside the entrance to Pier 39, Fisherman’s Wharf
  • The tour runs from November 27, 2026, to January 3, 2027.
  • This tour is not a hop-on, hop-off service. Please arrive by 6:00 pm. The bus departs promptly at 6:30 pm. Seating is first-come, first-served.
