Description

First, meet your guide outside the church. Greet and get acquainted with the guide, and get set up with your headset for the tour. As a group, head to Saint Peter’s Basilica.


Then, head into the church from the Italian High Renaissance era. Learn how the independent microstate that the church is located in was created to be enclaved within the city of Rome. Hear how the plans were initially created by Pope Nicholas V in the 15th century.

Next, hear about how Pope Julius II worked with Pope Nicholas V to accomplish the replacement of the initial church from the 4th century, originally constructed by Constantine the Great.
