A Roman quarry to extract all the building material extends underground for over 21 miles.
A fascinating journey through the underground realities of the thousand-year-old city, like speleologists with helmets and torches, we will accompany you to discover how slaves lived, we will let you experience the light of the Roman lamp through thousand-year-old catacombs.
But it doesn't end here, the journey continues through underground mushroom cultivations, until you reach a mithraeum, an ancient place of worship of a now forgotten religion and in which Christianity has its roots. If you come to Rome, you cannot miss visiting this place.
Accompanied by our expert guide, we'll give you a headlamp, a helmet, and take you on a journey of more than a mile into the city's historic dungeons.
