Tickets:
Your tickets will be sent directly to your phone one day before your visit via WhatsApp.
It is not necessary to come to the meeting point. With the entrance tickets you receive on your phone via WhatsApp, you can go directly to the Basilica’s priority entrance, located on the right-hand side of St. Peter’s Square, up to 1 hour before or after your reserved time.

Cancellation policy:
This activity is non-refundable. The booking is nominative, non-transferable, non-refundable, and non-modifiable. Date changes are not allowed.

Security check:
All visitors must go through airport-style security checks. In high season, waiting time can be up to 40 minutes.
Problems arising from security checks or special religious events are rare and, when they occur, are generally not communicated in advance. However, in such cases, even with priority tickets, entry may take 1–2 hours. We cannot be held responsible for any delays under these circumstances, as tickets must be booked well in advance.

Dome (Optional and Extra):
If you would like to visit the Dome, start your visit inside the Basilica. Afterward, at the ticket offices inside the Basilica, you can choose between two options: with or without the elevator. If you choose to climb, be prepared for at least 320 steps to reach the top. From the summit of the Dome, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the city of Rome and parts of Vatican City.
Please note: Access to the Dome is optional, extra, and not suitable for wheelchair users or baby strollers.

Dress code:
Clothing must be appropriate for the sacred place. Long pants for men and women, skirts below the knee or pants. Shoulders covered for all.

After the reservation:
The QR codes you see in the GetYourGuide app are NOT the entrance tickets; they are only a booking confirmation.
Your entrance tickets to the Basilica will be sent directly to your phone via WhatsApp one day in advance, along with all the necessary instructions.

Good to know before you go
  • Please ensure that the names you provide match exactly those on the ID cards or passports of all participants, including children and infants.
  • Children must be 17 years old or younger, and infants must be 6 years old or younger on the day of the visit.
  • If St. Peter's Basilica staff deny entry due to incorrect names or nicknames, we are not responsible, and no refund will be issued.
  • All visitors must undergo airport-style security checks. During high season, waiting times may be up to 40 minutes. In rare cases, due to special religious events in the Basilica, entry may take 1–2 hours, even with priority tickets.
  • Your entrance tickets will be sent to your phone via WhatsApp. Please provide the correct phone number, including the country code. The tickets are personal, in your name, and non-refundable.
  • You will need a smartphone and your own headphones to use the audioguide.
