Description

Beginning in the Pinecone Courtyard and moving through the Gallery of Maps and Tapestry Hall, an expert guide will lead you through symbols, techniques, and the stories behind the artworks. In the Raphael Rooms, pause in front of The School of Athens and other masterpieces by Raphael and his students to see how power, faith, and rivalry shaped the Renaissance.

Reach the Sistine Chapel for a quiet, focused look at Michelangelo’s ceiling and The Last Judgement, then (if option selected) head to St. Peter’s Basilica for a visit at your own pace of Bernini’s Baldachin, Michelangelo’s Pietà, and the scale of the nave, an essential part of any Vatican visit.

Please arrive 15 minutes before your start time. Dress respectfully for religious sites (shoulders and knees covered). All visitors pass through security screening. Photography is restricted inside the Sistine Chapel.

Due to occasional religious events, St. Peter's Basilica may remain closed without prior notice.

If customer names are not provided at least 72 hours prior to the scheduled tour access to St. Peter’s Basilica cannot be guaranteed. This policy also applies to any bookings made within 72 hours of the tour date.
