Step off the beaten path and experience Rome like a local on this food tour. Your adventure begins at Piazza Santa Maria in Trastevere, one of Rome's most charming squares. As you explore the hidden corners of the neighborhood, you’ll pass through picturesque streets like Vicolo dell'Atleta and Piazza in Piscinula, stopping at traditional eateries to sample some of the city's most beloved street foods. Next, cross the Tiber River to Isola Tiberina. This small island was dedicated to Aesculapius, the Roman god of medicine, and played a significant role in healing practices.

From there, continue to the Portico di Ottavia, a grand structure built by Emperor Augustus in honor of his mother, Atia.
