Description

Ever wondered what gnocchi actually is? A recipe passed down through generations of nonnas, they’re made with potatoes instead of flour, creating a simple, hearty dish that beautifully soaks up the sauce. In this class, you'll learn how to make by hand, the real Italian way.

Escape the roman heat for an apron and the spend the afternoon cooking in a characterful, family-owned Roman café with over 100 years of history. In this hands-on, fully vegetarian class, a friendly local host will guide you through making three Italian classics from scratch.

First, you'll make gnocchi the traditional way; mixing, kneading, rolling and cutting the dough by hand to create the rustic shapes of this beloved Italian classic. Next, you'll learn how to make basil pesto from scratch, grinding the ingredients the traditional way for a truly authentic flavour. To finish, you'll prepare a classic tiramisu from the ground up; making the mascarpone filling, soaking ladyfingers in freshly brewed coffee, and layering everything together before enjoying your dessert.

When the cooking is done, sit down and savour everything you've made, accompanied by wine in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. More than just a cooking class, it's a chance to slow down, share a meal, and experience Italian food traditions the way they're meant to be enjoyed. Perfect for food lovers, couples and curious travellers alike, you'll leave with new skills, wonderful memories, and recipes you can recreate at home.
With small groups, personal guidance, and all ingredients and equipment provided, all you need to bring is your curiosity and a good appetite.
