Description

Travel back in time to the days of the Roman Empire and explore the ruins of Ancient Rome’s second largest public baths. A historian guide will tell you stories of life in the Roman Empire and bring the baths back to life.

Built between 212 and 217 AD, during the reigns of Septimius Severus and Caracalla, the Baths of Caracalla could accommodate up to 1,500 people at any one time. They were more than just a place to bathe as the vast complex also featured a library, gym and public gardens.

Admire the best-preserved baths in Rome and a masterpiece of Roman architecture. See parts of the heating system and fragments of mosaic floors and discover imposing vaulted rooms and porticoes.
