1. Skip the line and take a rowboat on the lake at Villa Borghese (duration 20 minutes) paddling at your own pace and independently.

Surrounded by lush vegetation and ancient trees, you'll enjoy enchanting views of the park, with the Temple of Aesculapius reflected in the calm waters, creating an almost timeless atmosphere. One of the highlights is this neoclassical temple, located on a small island in the middle of the lake, built between 1785 and 1792. Dedicated to the god of medicine, Aesculapius, the temple is shrouded in dense vegetation that enhances its majesty. Its neoclassical lines, reflection in the water, and the tranquility of the lake make it one of the most photographed and admired places in Villa Borghese.
2. After the rowboat tour, a well-deserved Roman aperitif awaits you at the Casina del Lago, a historic bar from the 1920s located right next to the lake and surrounded by fountains.
