Description
In the heart of Rome, the Foro Italico comes to life through an immersive tour that combines sports, history and monumental architecture, offering a comprehensive experience that takes visitors to iconic locations and areas that are normally off-limits to the public.
Your tour begins at the meeting point by the majestic Foro Italico Obelisk, the iconic symbol of the entire complex and the first visually striking feature of great scenic impact. From here, the tour continues along the evocative Viale del Foro Italico, known as the “Via della Propaganda,” where mosaics, inscriptions, and architectural details tell the story of the aesthetics and language of Fascism in Italy, turning every step into an open-air narrative of art and ideology.
We then enter the monumental heart of the Foro Italico, passing through its most iconic spaces until we reach the spectacular Stadio dei Marmi, surrounded by 60 marble statues of athletes that celebrate strength, discipline, and physical perfection. The tour continues to the elegant Pietrangeli Stadium and the Foro Italico Central Stadium, renowned for hosting the Italian Open, where the world’s greatest tennis champions meet every year, bringing these spaces to life and infusing them with the energy of sport.
Next, you will visit the historic Fascist Fencing Academy, a notable example of the Rationalist architecture of the era, designed to train athletes and embody a clear concept of discipline and perfection. The tour then leads to the majestic Olympic Stadium, the beating heart of Italian sports and the venue for events that have shaped the history of soccer and international competitions.
Here begins the most exciting part of the tour: you enter the stadium’s exclusive interior, passing through the evocative Tunnel of Glory to reach the museum area, where trophies, historical images, and stories allow you to relive the most iconic moments. The tour continues in the mixed zone, an iconic space where athletes and the media meet, and in the official dressing rooms of A.S. Roma, S.S. Lazio, and the Italian national soccer team, thereby entering the most authentic heart of sports preparation.
The experience culminates on the sidelines and in the Monte Mario Stand, where a privileged view of the field allows you to feel the full grandeur and excitement of the stadium. The tour concludes in the bar & shop area, the perfect place to relax and take home a tangible memento of this unique experience.
A comprehensive and captivating journey that brings to life the great history of Italian sports through iconic locations, genuine emotions, and a narrative that seamlessly connects the past and the present in an extraordinary way.
