Description

Leave Rome for a journey to discover three sacred places in Umbria. A comfortable minivan will pick you up from your hotel or apartment in Rome and take you to Assisi, the birthplace of St. Francis. You'll visit the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli and the Porziuncola, a place of prayer. With the local guide, you'll explore the medieval streets, the Basilica of San Francesco, and the Basilica of Santa Chiara. Finally, together with your tour guide, you'll reach the church that houses the body of the beatified Carlo Acutis. Since admission is free, you'll only be able to enter if the waiting times allow, depending on the number of visitors at the time. After the tour, you'll have free time to enjoy lunch. The tour will continue to Roccaporena, the birthplace of Saint Rita, and you'll discover the places linked to her life, including her birthplace. Finally, you'll reach Cascia, where you can visit the Basilica that houses her body and the Monastery dedicated to the "Saint of the Impossible."
