Description

Embark on a full-day guided tour from Rome to Pompeii and Vesuvius, following the Autostrada del Sole through the fertile Roman countryside of the Castelli Romani; we will cross the Vesuvius valley, before arriving in Pompeii, where we will continue with the guided tour of the excavations. Your guide will explain the tragic history of Pompeii from an archaeological perspective and discover what lies beneath the ashes.
Afterwards, a pleasant break awaits you at a local restaurant for a delicious pizza, and dessert.
In the early afternoon, after having recharged, upon arrival in Herculaneum, board our open GLT bus which will take you up to Vesuvius up to approximately 1000 m. be amazed by the beauty of the panorama from there, before leaving for Rome.
During the journey there will be a stop at a coral and cameo factory.

Good to know before you go
  • Please do not forget to bring your Identity Card or Passport, they may be requested at the entrance to the Pompeii excavations.
  • A walk to the crater in Vesuvius is not included
