Description
Walk in the footsteps of Roman emperors and citizens on a 2.5-hour tour of Ancient Rome, visit Roman Forum and Colosseum, at the end of your tour.
Your guided tour will begin at Piazza Venezia and introduce the Campidoglio (the House of the Mayor). Access the Roam Forum with your expert guide, here you can enjoy breath-taking views over the Roman Forum.
Walk along the Via Sacra (Sacred Road) and immerse yourself in Roman history. The main path through the Roman Forum, the Sacred Road once sparkled with festivals and triumphal processions.
Head to the Temple, which houses the altar where Julius Caesar was cremated. Visitors from around the world still leave flowers and candles at the site to this day.
Before reaching the Colosseum, you will get a general overview of the Palatine Hill where legend has it Romulus founded the city of Rome. The hill looks down over the Roman Forum and the Circus Maximus chariot-racing circuit.
Once inside the Colosseum, your expert guide will teach you about the amphitheater's bloody past, with tales of gladiators, mock sea battles, and executions.
The group will be composed maximum by 18 people.
- Customers are requested to redeem their vouchers at TOURISTATION ARACOELI, Piazza d’Aracoeli 16. Touristation office is NOT next to the Colosseum but is on the Piazza Venezia side. Look for a fountain under restoration. There are orange flags outside the office.
- Colosseum is the last part of the guided tour (approximately 2 hours later respect the presentation time at the office)
- Latecomers will not be accommodated
- It is mandatory to bring a valid identity document for all participants. If the names provided do not match those on the document, access to the Colosseum will not be guaranteed.
