Everyone entering the basilica must pass through the security check metal detectors. The lines to pass the security checks before entering the basilica cannot be skipped and may take anywhere between 10-50 minutes
There is a dress code for entry into the Basilica, which requires covered shoulders and knees
The ticket does not include the climb to the dome, which costs €10 per person. These tickets are sold directly at its entrance and cannot be reserved online
