Meet your guide at a designated meeting point where you and a small group of fellow travellers will start your exploration of the darker side of Rome.

Our first stop? The famous Capuchin Crypts. Homed below the Santa Maria della Concezione dei Cappuccini Church are Rome's famous Bone Chapels, after a visit to the museums we'll head straight to the chapels, where through displays of human bones of Capuchin Friars we're reminded our time on earth is only limited.

Hop in a climate controled minivan alongside your guidie, and let us whisk you out of the city past the Aurelian Wall & Appian road on your way to the Creme della Creme of Roman Catacombs.

Upon arrival at the Priscilla Catacombs, we'll open up them up by key right in front of your eyes, and will discover three sections of thise over 5 mile spanning site: the Acilii zone, Greek Chapel, and Arenario. Here you'll learn about the soulds that were put to rest, Rome's supressed religious past and descend into Rome's past discovering different levels and coridors of these extensive catacombs.

After your visit to the Priscilla catacombs, we'll accompany you back to the city centre in our climate controlled minivan, where your tour will come to an end.

Good to know before you go
  • Wear comfortable shoes and dress according to the season
  • As the catacombs are located underground and usually cooler than outside, we recommend to bring along some layers to keep warm
  • This tour is not recommended for people with limited mobility
  • Due to the religious origin of the sites visited, it is requested that men and women cover their knees and shoulders, failing to do this may lead to you being refused entry (scarves/shawls are recommended in summer)
  • This tour has a minimum participant requirement, if the minimum is not we will try to work with you to find an alternative date or tour in which the same or similar experience does operate.
  • We will do everything within our power to ensure timings and itineraries are respected, however, due to issues beyond our control, timings and sites are subject to last minute changes on rare occasions.
