Description
Immerse yourself in the grandeur of the Petit Palais, a masterpiece of architecture nestled between the Seine and the Champs-Élysées. Designed by Charles Girault for the 1900 Exposition Universelle, this iconic building now houses the City of Paris's fine art collections. As you step inside, marvel at the intricate decor that took over two decades to complete, showcasing the city's artistic heritage.
Discover the history of haute couture with a ticket to the exhibition "Worth Inventing Haute Couture" at the Petit Palais. Explore the work of Charles Frederick Worth, the founder of the House of Worth, and see over 400 works of clothing, objects, and accessories.
Visit the exhibition at the Petit Palais, which is spread over 1100 m2 in the grand galleries. See over 400 works of clothing, objects, and accessories, paintings, and graphics to create a vast fresco of the creations of the House of Worth, as well as the protagonists who have written its history.
From the Second Empire to the Roaring Twenties, a page of history is being written: that of the invention of the figure of the great couturier and of the mechanisms for creating and marketing fashion that are still in force and whose foundations were laid by Worth at the end of the 19th century.
