Description

Inspired by the animated film, the musical show was created in 1999 and has enjoyed season after season, attracting nearly 120 million viewers worldwide. A spectacular show, it has been running at the Théâtre Mogador since 2021 and delights thousands of spectators. While the story remains the same as that of the original animated film – Simba's reconquest of the Pride Lands usurped by his uncle Scar – director Julie Taymor has enriched it with all her inspirations, including folk costumes and traditional arts from Africa and Asia, among others, to create a truly spectacular show. Every costume, every prop, every puppet has been designed to create surprise and take you on a thrilling journey where humor competes with the dramatic tension of certain scenes. Come and see your heroes Simba, Nala, Mufasa, Rafiki, Zazu, Timon, Pumbaa, Scar, and, of course, the hyenas in the African savanna. Whether you're a longtime fan or discovering its magic for the first time, you'll never forget this one-of-a-kind show.
