Notre-Dame Cathedral is far more than a historic landmark—it is a powerful symbol of Paris’s heritage, spirituality, and resilience. This guided experience offers three distinct ways to explore the cathedral, allowing you to choose the level of depth that best suits your interests.

All options begin with a guided exploration of Notre-Dame’s exterior. Your expert guide will bring the Gothic façade to life, explaining the sculpted portals, rose windows, gargoyles, and flying buttresses, as well as the extensive restoration work carried out after the 2019 fire.

From there, your visit continues based on the option you select.

Option 1: Guided Interior & Exterior Tour (maximum 5 people private experience). Enjoy a complete guided experience inside and out. After the exterior tour, your specialist guide will accompany you into the cathedral for an in-depth exploration of the newly restored interior, highlighting its architecture, symbolism, and sacred spaces.

Option 2: Exterior Guided Tour with Independent Interior Visit (maximum 20 people). Take part in a guided exterior tour, then continue inside the cathedral on your own. This option combines expert insight with the freedom to explore the interior at your own pace.


Whichever option you choose, you will gain a deeper understanding of Notre-Dame’s history, significance, and revival—an experience that goes far beyond a simple visit.

  • Dress code: Modest clothing is required—shoulders must be covered, and shorts or skirts must be at least knee-length. Sleeveless tops are not allowed.
  • Cathedral access: Entry to Notre-Dame Cathedral is free. Guided tours operate independently of cathedral admission.
  • Group size: Interior tours are limited to 5 participants. Groups may be split if needed.
  • Religious services: Guides cannot provide commentary during Mass. Check the official Notre-Dame website for service times, as they may affect your visit.
  • Punctuality: Please arrive 10–15 minutes before your scheduled tour. Late arrivals cannot be accommodated and will be marked as no-shows.
