Description

Admire magnificent Renaissance castles and taste delicious Loire Valley wines on this full-day tour from Paris. Discover the impressive architecture of Château de Chambord and explore the diversity of Loire Valley wines.

Your day begins with an early-morning pick-up in Paris. Meet your guide and settle into a comfortable vehicle. On the way to the Loire Valley, enjoy a flaky croissant while your guide shares stories about the region’s winemaking heritage and history.

Your first stop is the iconic Château de Chambord. Enjoy an audio-guided visit and uncover the secrets of this splendid castle, constructed by King Francis I of France in the early 16th century. Take time to explore the château’s grand halls, its famous staircase, and the surrounding grounds.

Back in the van, enjoy a scenic drive through the lush, rolling vineyards of Touraine, Vouvray, and Montlouis-sur-Loire. Stop at a beautiful viewpoint to enjoy a glass of local wine, while your guide explains the grape varieties, Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, and Cabernet Franc and the growing conditions, as you take in the colorful sunlit vineyards.

For lunch, savor a traditional gourmet meal served either at a winery or at a quality local restaurant. Your lunch is paired with a Loire Valley wine tasting, hosted by your tour guide, offering a perfect introduction to the region’s different wine styles.

In the afternoon, visit a family-run winery to discover an intimate approach to winemaking. Explore the estate and enjoy a tasting of red and white wines, experiencing authentic Loire Valley wines that are largely unavailable in the rest of the world.

At the end of the day, you will be dropped off in a well-connected area of central Paris in the evening, a perfect way to conclude a memorable day combining culture, landscapes, and wine in the Loire Valley.
