Description

This unique outdoor VR tour will take you on a journey through different eras, from the Middle Ages to the 19th century. Accompanied by a real-life guide, you will stroll through the Cour Carrée, the Cour Napoléon III, and the Tuileries Garden.

Equipped with a virtual reality headset, you will discover the medieval fortress that was the Louvre in its early days, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the neighborhood that stood at the foot of the Louvre during the Renaissance, and even witness a significant event of the French Revolution.
Century after century, you will see the Louvre and its neighborhood transform, the Tuileries Palace appear, and history unfold before your eyes. Blending reality and virtual reality, this tour will take you back to the present day so you can situate yourself in space and compare the buildings that exist today with those that have disappeared.

  • Please note that the tour takes place exclusively outdoors, so be sure to wear weather-appropriate clothing. Weather conditions (except in extreme cases) do not constitute grounds for refund.
  • This tour does not include access to the collections inside the Musée du Louvre.
  • If you wear glasses, please bring them with you on the tour (small frames recommended).
  • No last-minute participants will be accepted on site without a reservation.
  • If a minimum of 2 participants have not registered for the tour, it may be cancelled up to 12 hours before the booked time.
  • This tour is not suitable for children under 8.
