Embark on an enriching journey through one of Paris's most iconic landmarks with our introduction tour of the Notre Dame Cathedral. This 30- minute tour offers a unique blend of historical insight and architectural marvel, led by a guide who will bring the cathedral's storied past to life.

The introductory tour can be done at the beginning or at the end of the visit, depending on the Cathedral’s availability.

Your tour begins at the picturesque Pont au Double, a historic bridge that offers stunning views of the cathedral and the Seine River. From here, your guide will lead you in front of the monument for a 30-minute tour, with facts about the cathedral's construction, its significance in French history, and the recent restoration efforts following the 2019 fire. The tour will also cover the exterior of the cathedral, where you can admire the famous gargoyles and the stunning façade.

After this outside visit, your guide will help you enter the monument. You will then visit the cathedral on your own.

Good to know before you go

This activity is an exterior visit of the cathedral, andOur guide will not conduct a guided tour inside the monument. However, your guide will accompany you inside for access to Notre-Dame Cathedral.
Due to access availability at the Cathedral, the tour schedule may be reversed — starting with entry into the Cathedral followed by the exterior presentation. We must adapt to the Cathedral’s operational constraints. In such cases, which remain very rare, you will not enter through the ticket-holder visitors' entrance, but through the general access point. Entry usually takes less than 3 minutes.
