Description

Karen has built strong, lasting relationships in the local community, allowing her to share insights and access you won’t find in a guidebook. Whether you’re a history buff, a curious traveler, or someone looking to connect and/or understand in a deeper way the Jewish heritage in Paris, this tour promises unforgettable moments, laughter, and a genuine sense of connection with both the city and its people.

The whole tour takes place in le Marais, the main Jewish neighborhood in Paris but also one of the oldest part of Paris.

Le Marais – The heart of Jewish life in Paris
Place des Vosges – One of the most beautiful squares in the city
Hôtel de Sully – A stunning 17th-century mansion (exterior)
Famous Synagogue by Hector Guimard (exterior) – A masterpiece of Art Nouveau architecture
Sit-down history break inside one of the oldest synagogues in Paris (except in rare cases of increased neighborhood security)
Musée Carnavalet (exterior) – The museum of Paris history
VIP lunch stop at the famous L’As du Fallafel (not included in the tour price; approx. €15 - €25 per person)
SHOAH Holocaust Memorial & Museum – A deeply moving experience. The tour ends here, where you’ll hear incredible stories before having the option to explore the museum on your own.

Good to know before you go
  • For an optimal experience, we recommend not booking tours on the day of arrival, because of potential last-minute changes due to travel and exhaustion from your trip! We want you to enjoy the tour as much as possible.
  • Our Jewish History of Le Marais tour is our most physically achievable tour, even for older people. It's a 3.5 tour but with 2 x 45-minute sit-down breaks and tours in the Marais, and is only a few blocks in total.
