Description

Created by internationally renowned Italian writer Andrea Careri, best-selling author known for his books on New York and American pop culture, this tour is a tribute to the gritty and electrifying New York of the 1990s—the golden age of hip-hop, the Yankees, the Knicks, iconic films, and legendary crime stories.

Step into the past as we explore the most dangerous neighborhoods of 1990s New York—places that still pulsate with raw, unfiltered energy today. From the birth of legendary gangs to the golden age of old school hip hop, this tour takes you into the heart of the city, revealing legendary murals, untold stories, and local spots that shaped its culture.

This immersive experience begins in Hell's Kitchen—once one of Manhattan's most feared neighborhoods—and then heads to the Bronx and Harlem. We'll visit Mike Tyson's birthplace and the streets where the Notorious B.I.G. made history. Along the way, we'll stop at Spike Lee's production company, explore iconic bookstores, and soak up the cool atmosphere of Brooklyn—the epicenter of New York's music and film industry and home to actors, musicians, and producers.

We'll also visit legendary sites such as Yankee Stadium, the Joker stairs, the Apollo Theater, and spectacular murals, such as the Notorious B.I.G. mural in Brooklyn.

What makes our tour truly unique? Exclusive access to hidden gems: a legendary coffee shop, an iconic barber shop frequented by baseball stars and hip-hop legends, and other local spots that bring you closer to the real New York.

And since no authentic New York experience is complete without it, we'll take the subway—adding to the immersive feel of this unforgettable tour.

Choose the original. Discover the real New York with the city's best team of multilingual, expert tour guides.
