Experience wildlife in the heart of Manhattan at the Central Park Zoo. Explore a diverse collection of animals from various environments, including the Tropic Zone, Temperate Territory, Polar Circle, and Tisch Children's Zoo.

Begin your adventure in the Tropic Zone, a two-story tropical rainforest habitat. Encounter a variety of animals, including Rodrigues fruit bats, emerald tree boas, cotton-top tamarins, and black-and-white ruffed lemurs. Admire the vibrant colors of scarlet ibises and emerald starlings, and spot red-bellied piranhas and pig-nosed turtles.

Next, head to the Temperate Territory, home to animals that prefer a more moderate climate. See red pandas, Japanese macaques, swan geese, and snow leopards. This area also houses the California Sea Lion tank.

Continue to the Polar Circle, showcasing animals from colder regions. Visit the chilled penguin house, home to King Penguins, Gentoo Penguins, Rockhopper Penguins, and Chinstrap Penguins, along with Atlantic and Tufted Puffins. Watch harbor seals in the outdoor pool.

For younger visitors, the Tisch Children's Zoo offers a petting zoo where children can interact with and feed animals like goats, sheep, and the only cow in Manhattan. Enjoy daily performances at the Acorn Theater.
