Description

Today, we will depart from Washington, D.C. and head to Lancaster in the south of Pennsylvania in order to visit the first tourist attraction of Lancaster - Amish Farm and House. You will learn about the history and lifestyle of Amish people and experience the rural scenery of Amish village. Then visit the Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market for mouth-watering aromas and bountiful displays.

Itinerary:

Washington D.C. → Amish Village → Amish Farm and House: Countryside Bus Tour+Farmhouse Tour+Farm Tour (Optional, 2.5 hours) → Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market (50 mins) → Washington D.C.

The Bird-in-Hand Farmers Market is a favorite destination for locals, as well as out-of-town visitors. It features tons of delicious offerings, including fresh meats, cheese and produce, a wide variety of baked goods, chocolates and candies, bulk foods, spices, coffee and loose leaf tea, locally made chips and hard pretzels, hand-rolled soft pretzels, fresh-squeezed lemonade, apple cider, made-to-order subs, fried chicken and rows of homemade canned goods.
