Description
Join this themed walking tour to learn about the September 11 attacks, background and impact. Travel back in time to the day that shook the whole world and feel the enduring legacy of 9/11. Visit the memorial sites at Ground Zero where the Twin Towers once stood and pay your respects to the innocent lives lost here. Discover the truth behind the 9/11 terrorist attacks and their aftermath.
Choose the 2-hour option to learn about the causes and consequences of 9/11 while exploring the World Trade Center memorial site in Downtown Manhattan. Visit the historic St. Paul’s Chapel, also known as “The Little Chapel That Stood,” to find out how for eight months it served as a place of rest and refuge for hundreds of recovery workers at Ground Zero. See the touching memorial exhibition and hear authentic accounts of how that day changed the lives of every American.
The tour will pass by the FDNY Ten House and the memorial to the brave firefighters who died during the rescue operation. You will visit the Ground Zero memorial site where you will see the Survivor Tree - the only tree that survived the collapse of the WTC buildings, and the 9/11 Memorial Pools honouring those killed in the 1993 and 2001 terrorist attacks.
Choose the 3-hour option for a guided tour of the World Trade Center memorial site and the One World Observatory. The One World Center, also known as the Freedom Tower, is a symbol of the city’s rebirth after 9/11. Its observation deck at 102nd floor offers an unparalleled view of the Manhattan skyline with highlights such as the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. This tour includes skip-the-line tickets to One World Observatory so that you can experience this top attraction without waiting in long lines at the ticket office.
Choose the 4-hour option for a guided tour of the World Trade Center memorial site and the One World Observatory and get skip-the-line tickets to the National 9/11 Museum. After your insightful 9/11 walking tour and a visit to the observatory with your Private Guide, you can go on a self-guided tour of the museum located in the underground of the WTC memorial site. See the Last Column, the damaged steel beam, part of one of the hijacked aircrafts, and thousands of images, oral recordings and videos that document the 9/11 terrorist attacks. A multilingual audio guide will help you learn about this touching and shoking exhibition. It is an essential NYC experience, so book now to save time and avoid long lines.
