Description

What do you do when you decide to establish a city in a miserable tropical swamp full of disease, gators, and hurricanes? Drink, drink, drink...and maybe throw in some cards and canoodling for good measure or as they actually used to say “Privy and Private Amusements". Invite your paramour out for a night of "Quill and Chill” or a game of Broadswords and Bedchambers. We welcome your curiosity and questions.

The whole of New Orleans was an insane (and ultimately successful) attempt by a bunch of landed gentry on the other side of the world to put a choke hold on the Mississippi River and stick it to the other Europeans that were also trying to get control of it, all the while drunk as hell, gambling and diddling each other in every which way—those aristocrats went at it with a wild abandon and could make a working girl blush. This city created the West's first personal millionaire, caused the first land prospecting bubble in western history to expand and then pop, and earned the name "The Devil's Empire" about two years after it was founded, in large part because of the amount of bars and brothels that popped up just around the ring of church and military buildings that constituted the center of the early city. If someone tells you they're a saint, check their closet, you're bound to find something surprising.

Previously offered only as a Private tour option and listed as our "Saints and Sinners tour," because so many of you asked, we are now offering this tour EVERYDAY at 1:30 pm! Tour participants (21 and older) are treated to Buy One Get One Free Hurricane Drinks in a Free Souvenir Cup! You are welcome to bring your adult beverage along on tour!

New Orleans seeps into your bloodstream and compels even the sweetest from small-town America to do obscene things. This is the real New Orleans which does not fit neatly into the category of "American" city. It is a black water port, Caribbean and lawless; settled by thieves, prostitutes, and the other criminally disposed. and the saint. This is a tour that takes you through the sweat-soaked madness that is "Sin City". Get lost with us in this strange city and explore its dark past because this is NOT your grandmother's tour.
