Description

Explore Miami’s iconic Freedom Tower in newly opened museum galleries marking its 100th anniversary. Discover how this landmark evolved from a newspaper headquarters to a Cuban Refugee Center, and now a symbol of hope and opportunity.

Discover “Libertad,” a sweeping exhibition spanning two floors that tells Miami’s story through digital installations, community testimonials, and historic artifacts. Experience El Refugio in Context, an intimate look at the Freedom Tower’s role as a Cuban Refugee Center, and explore the reimagined Knight Skylight Gallery—now a luminous space for rotating art, light, and sound installations.

Continue your journey in “Languages of Migration” at the Kislak Center, where rare pre-Columbian and colonial-era artifacts meet contemporary art by artists such as Harold Mendez, Julie Buffalohead, Jaune Quick-to-See Smith, Edouard Duval-Carrié, and Pepe Mar. Hands-on exhibits invite visitors to explore how language, identity, and culture evolve across generations.

Created by the FIFA Museum, "Unidad: The World's Game" exhibition takes visitors on a journey through the world's most beloved sport, showcasing its ability to inspire, connect and unite billions of people across continents and generations. Historic artifacts, interactive stations and immersive installations offer glimpses into pivotal moments that have shaped the evolution of soccer. Presented in partnership with MDC, the exhibition links the global passion for the beautiful game to Miami's vibrant cultural mosaic.

Experience the Freedom Tower reborn—a 21st-century museum celebrating Miami’s history, spirit, and the universal quest for freedom.
