Description

Discover the real Everglades and experience one of the world’s most unique ecosystems in a more intimate, natural and authentic way.
Most Everglades tours visit commercial parks, where large airboats can carry dozens of passengers — sometimes up to 60. Our experience is different.
Travel in comfort aboard a Mercedes Sprinter van with a maximum of 14 guests. Our commercial vehicle is fully authorized, insured and equipped with the required permits for professional passenger transportation.
During the journey, your multilingual guide will introduce you to the Everglades, the legendary “River of Grass,” its ecosystem, wildlife, history and Native heritage.
Upon arrival, board a small open-air airboat with limited seating, often reserved for Tours by Max guests. The approximately 50-minute ride explores natural areas of the Everglades, including areas not accessible to non-Native tour operators.
Airboat captains are often Native guides born and raised in the Everglades. Their knowledge of the waterways and wildlife comes from a lifetime spent in this environment, with the protection of its wildlife and fragile ecosystem at the heart of their connection to the land.
With fewer passengers, the experience is more personal and immersive — almost like a wildlife safari on water. There is no fixed script: nature decides what you will see.
Alligators, turtles, birds and other native wildlife may sometimes be observed from remarkably close distances. When wildlife is spotted, the captain may stop and spend additional time observing the animals in their natural habitat. These close, unhurried encounters are generally not possible on conventional large-group tourist airboats following fixed routes.
Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed — this is a wild ecosystem, not a zoo — and this unpredictability makes every tour unique.
Depending on water levels, weather and the captain’s route, the airboat experience may also include a visit to a traditional tree island, or hammock, where Native families historically lived. Occasionally more than one island may be accessible. Island visits are never guaranteed.
After the airboat ride, enjoy a quick driving tour through the Miccosukee Indian Reservation, with a possible stop at the new Miccosukee Service Plaza.
More than an airboat ride, this is an opportunity to experience the Everglades as a living ecosystem, understand its conservation and observe wildlife away from mass tourism.
