Description

This is not the typical Everglades airboat tour. It is a true water eco-safari — small boats, wild nature, cultural heritage and private islands, far from mass tourism.
Discover the legendary “River of Grass” in a more intimate, natural and authentic way.
While many tours use large airboats carrying dozens of passengers, our experience takes you into natural wetlands aboard a small open-air airboat with tiered seating, operated by Native families from the Miccosukee Indian Reservation.
These operations support Native families and sustainable tourism rooted in their connection to the Everglades.
Travel from Miami aboard a Mercedes Sprinter van with a maximum of 14 guests. Your guide will introduce you to the ecosystem, wildlife, history and cultural heritage.
The main experience features about 60 minutes aboard an airboat reserved for our group, navigating through sawgrass, waterways and wildlife habitats.
When water levels permit, explore up to 2 private islands. One features a rehabilitation area for young alligators, where you can see them up close and, when permitted, even hold one.
The other preserves a traditional Native camp, with authentic chickee structures showing how Native families historically lived within the Everglades.
Your captain will be an experienced local guide with extensive knowledge of the Everglades and its wildlife. Many captains are from local Native families.
Think of it as a wildlife safari on water: there is no fixed script — nature decides what you will see.
Alligators, turtles, caimans and native birds may be observed, sometimes from remarkably close distances. The captain can slow down or stop when wildlife is spotted.
Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed — this is a wild ecosystem, not a zoo — and that unpredictability makes every tour unique.
Depending on group size and Everglades conditions, smaller groups may take an alternative route aboard a small shared airboat for about 50 minutes, with access to a private island when water levels permit.
Routes and island access may vary according to group size, weather and water levels. About 1–2 days before the tour, we will confirm the exact pick-up time and itinerary.
Before or after the airboat ride, enjoy a short drive through the Miccosukee Indian Reservation, with a possible stop at the new Miccosukee Service Plaza.
