Description

The perfect non-matchday escape for football fans in Los Angeles & surrounding areas.

This three-day loop out of Los Angeles packs in California’s coastline, the charm of San Francisco, and the natural drama of Yosemite, at a pace that leaves room to actually enjoy it.

Day one heads north through the Central Valley to the Monterey Peninsula, where you’ll drive the world-famous 17-Mile Drive, with the Pacific on one side and the Del Monte cypress forest on the other, plus photo stops and a string of legendary golf courses. A pause at the storied Lodge at Pebble Beach takes in the greens, grand mansions, and ocean views before you continue into San Francisco for the night.

Day two is a full tour of the city: the Golden Gate Bridge, the Greco-Roman rotunda of the Palace of Fine Arts, the famous switchbacks of Lombard Street, and the lively waterfront at Fisherman’s Wharf. From there you can add a Bay cruise past Alcatraz, or a deeper in-depth tour covering the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Assumption, Civic Center Plaza, the viewpoint at Twin Peaks, and a pass by Treasure Island.

Day three is all about Yosemite National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site in the Sierra Nevada. Spend the day among its granite giants and waterfalls, from El Capitan and Half Dome to Bridal Veil Falls and the towering Yosemite Falls, before the comfortable drive back to Los Angeles. In winter, if snow, ice, or road closures make Yosemite unsafe, the route shifts to the Danish-themed village of Solvang via Santa Barbara instead.
