Description

This is Los Angeles seen with context, comfort, and a local point of view—not simply a list of famous names or a quick landmark loop. Family-run since 1988, our small-group city tour is for travelers who want to feel connected to the city: its history, architecture, neighborhoods, movie stories, music, changing cultures, and the personalities that shaped it. Your experienced local guide shares clear, easy-to-follow commentary, conversation, and occasional humor, making LA understandable and enjoyable for international visitors as well as first-time guests.

Travel in an enclosed, climate-controlled high-roof minibus with large windows and a maximum of around 10 guests. You can see clearly, stay comfortable in LA’s sun and heat, and hear your guide without competing with wind and street noise. The smaller group creates a more personal day: time for questions, photos, and genuine interaction with a guide who has spent decades introducing visitors to Los Angeles.

Begin in Downtown Los Angeles, the historic and cultural heart of the city, with a stop at the landmark Walt Disney Concert Hall. Admire its striking Frank Gehry architecture and learn how a 1781 Spanish settlement grew into a global center of film, music, architecture, fashion, and immigration. Hear the stories behind LA’s civic landmarks, creative districts, and changing neighborhoods.

Continue through Griffith Park to Griffith Observatory, high above the city near Mount Hollywood. Enjoy panoramic views and a dedicated photo stop for the Hollywood Sign. Discover why the Observatory and the Sign became enduring symbols of Los Angeles in science, film, and popular culture.

In Hollywood, step out on Hollywood Boulevard to explore the Walk of Fame, TCL Chinese Theatre, and Dolby Theatre, home of the Academy Awards. See the Capitol Records Building and the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, site of the first Academy Awards ceremony in 1929. Your guide brings Hollywood to life with stories that go beyond celebrity names.

Travel the Sunset Strip through West Hollywood, passing the Whisky a Go Go, Rainbow Bar & Grill, Chateau Marmont, and the Oppenheim Group offices featured in Selling Sunset. Continue into Beverly Hills for celebrity-home views, a photo stop at Beverly Gardens Park, and a drive along Rodeo Drive.

Enjoy free time for lunch at the Original Farmers Market, a beloved LA gathering place since 1934, with restaurants, cafés, bakeries, and international food stalls. It is a chance to experience a local institution that many quick sightseeing routes leave out.

With a Downtown stop at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Griffith Observatory and Hollywood Sign views, Hollywood Boulevard, Beverly Hills, and the Farmers Market, this is a fuller way to experience Los Angeles—comfortable, personal, culturally rich, and led by people who have been sharing its stories since 1988. Pickup is available from selected Hollywood and Downtown LA hotels.
