Description
In this tour I will take you on an incredible journey around London's unique Rock and Roll history. From the Beatles to the Stones, from Queen to Ziggy Stardust. After meeting outside Embankment station we will visit The Marquis pub. Known as London's Rock and Roll Watering Hole. It is the best venue for live music and was where one major US band played a famous gig in 2023.
I will show you where the Sex Pistols played their first concert and the Beatles played their last—the rooftop concert. I will take you to Carnaby Street, where the dedicated followers of fashion bought their clothes. We will see where Ziggy Stardust rose and fell to earth. I will show you where Beatlemania was introduced to the world and where Pink Floyd first met as students. We will also see where Jimi Hendrix jammed with Cream.
We will also visit Denmark Street, London's 'Tin Pan Alley'. We will see where the Rolling Stones used egg boxes for soundproofing when recording their first album. We will see where heavy metal was invented. We will see where Reginald Dwight aka Elton John worked in a post room for £4 a week.
Our tour will finish in Denmark Street, which remains today the beating heart of Rock and Roll London.
