Description

Step aboard the Golden Hinde, a museum of two histories, 400 years apart: the circumnavigation of Francis Drake in 1577-80, and the voyages of the reconstruction in the 20th century.

Since The Golden Hinde was invited into her current Bankside home in St. Mary Overie Dock in 1996, she has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors onboard to experience a living piece of history where the past comes to life. The ship also serves as a unique venue for live music, weddings, an escape room, and a diverse range of other events throughout the year.

Enjoy general admission which includes access to the ship and a trove of information either through the Bloomberg app or self-guides. In-person talks and tours are available throughout the weekends and school holidays.
