Meet your qualified tour guide by the entrance of the British Museum. Entry to the museum is free.

This is a private tour for you and your family of up to 6 people including 4 children max.
The tour is suitable for children 6-12 years old.
The tour can be run in English or German (please book preferred option).

Your child(ren) will receive a clipboard with a list of things to find and questions to answer. Your tour guide will then take you to eight highlights at the museum, provide fascinating stories and insights and help you find all the clues necessary to take home a small prize.

Have you ever seen a merman? Why is the Rosetta Stone so important? Can you spot the birthday girl Athena amongst the Parthenon Marbles? And which animal does the golden belt buckle remind you of?

Your child(ren) will have so much fun finding all the answers they will not know they are learning so much history at the same time!
Your guide will be Julia. She is Austrian and has lived in London for almost 20 years. She qualified as a City of London and City of Westminster Guide and has also gained the prestigious Blue Badge guiding qualification. A Mum of three, she knows exactly how to keep your kids entertained.

  • There is a bag check at the entrance to the museum. Please do not bring any sharp items.
