Discover the fascinating history of the Household Cavalry at this unique living museum, located within Horse Guards in the heart of Whitehall.
Explore interactive displays, personal stories, rare artefacts and first-hand accounts of the troopers' demanding training, while enjoying views into the original 18th-century working stables where soldiers care for their horses.
Learn about the Life Guards and the Blues and Royals, the two senior regiments of the British Army, and the Household Cavalry's role as The King's Mounted Bodyguard for over 350 years.
To make the most of your visit, coincide your trip with the Changing of the Guard at 11am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, or witness the daily 4pm Inspection, often known as the Punishment Parade.
