Description
The Warner Bros. Studio Tour London provides an amazing new opportunity to explore the magic of the Harry Potter™ films – one of the most successful film series of all time. This unique walking tour takes you behind the scenes and showcases an array of beautiful sets, costumes, and props. It also reveals some closely guarded secrets, including facts about the special effects and animatronics that made these films so hugely popular all over the world.
The Sets, Props & Costumes
Step onto Platform 9 ¾ and venture inside the original Hogwarts Express steam engine! This permanent exhibit gives visitors the chance to climb aboard the train’s carriage and pose with a luggage trolley as it disappears through the platform wall.
Walk through Diagon Alley, home to Gringotts Bank, Ollivanders Wand Shop, and Mr Mulpepper’s Apothecary. This iconic set was first seen in the first Harry Potter movie, where Harry first chose his wand.
Admire the fabulously designed costumes used through the film series, from the Quidditch uniforms to the Yule Ball costumes, to the outfits Harry, Ginny, Ron, and Hermoine wore in the final scene of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
Creature Effects
Learn about the creature effects used throughout the film series, from the life-size animatronic versions of Buckbeak the Hippogriff to the 60 goblin heads used as the bank officials and tellers at Gringotts bank. Don’t forget about Aragog, Hagrid’s Acromantula who had a leg span of over 18 feet.
24 January – 24 April 2026: Magical Mischief:
Magical Mischief is back, immersing visitors in the filmmaking trickery required to pull off the magical mishaps seen in the Harry Potter film series. Fans will experience O.W.L examinations under Professor Umbridge’s watchful eye in the iconic Great Hall set, complete with the swinging pendulum and paper firing exam desks. Discover how filmmakers created pandemonium when the Weasley twins disrupted the quiet exams. Both Fred and George will be suspended from the ceiling with bags filled with their latest product, Weasleys’ Wildfire Whiz-bangs – ready to fill the Great Hall with a burst of colour. More of their products will be on display outside their shop Weasleys’ Wizarding Wheezes on Diagon Alley.
