Explore the Monument to the Great Fire of London. Enjoy an audio guide as you climb to the very top, and admire the panoramic view of London.

With your host, step inside the iconic Monument designed by Sir Christopher Wren, and climb 311 steps to the observation deck. As you explore the tower, follow along with your digital audio guide and uncover the history behind the Great Fire of 1666. Starting from a bakery on nearby Pudding Lane, the devastation permanently reshaped the city and its effects can still be seen today.

When you reach the top, admire the incredible view of the skyline – and don’t forget to take a snap of the gilded urn of fire.

  • Please note the Monument has a narrow, winding staircase of 311 steps. This experience is not recommended for those who have limited mobility, claustrophobia or vertigo
  • Entry is subject to a security bag check. Large bags must be left in a designated bag storage area at the bottom of the staircase
  • Due to limited space in the viewing gallery, a maximum of 33 people are allowed inside at any one time. Wait times of 30 minutes to enter the Monument can be expected
  • Access to the Monument may be restricted or closed due to adverse weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a closure, tickets can be rescheduled for the soonest available dates, subject to availability
