Description
Embark on a day tour to South Downs National Park from London and admire the beauty of England's stunning southern coast and sprawling green hills. Visit notable landmarks including the Devil's Dyke, Seven Sisters Country Park, and Beachy Head on a guided tour.
In the morning, meet your guide at London Bridge station and catch the train to Brighton, using your pre-booked return train tickets. Upon arrival in Brighton, climb aboard the luxury minibus for your adventure for the day.
Arrive in the South Downs National Park and first visit Devil's Dyke to admire the views across the lowland weald. Learn from your guide about how the landscape was formed over thousands of years, as well as how Devil's Dyke got its name.
Make your way to Middle Farm, where you can buy cheeses, sparkling wines, or cider from Sussex. Middle Farm will be the lunch stop where the quaint tea rooms serve light lunches, snacks, coffee, and tea.
Continue along quiet country lanes to the Seven Sisters Country Park. Make a short stop to visit the Neolithic carving known as the Longman of Wilmington.
Next, enjoy a guided walk along Beachy Head and take stunning photos of the white chalk cliffs. Travel to Birling Gap and see the results of accelerated coastal erosion.
Arrive at Seaford Head to enjoy the iconic view of the Seven Sisters, one of the most famous viewpoints along England's southern coast. Your guide will then take you on a leisurely walk around the headland to get the best views of the cliffs.
Finally, hop back on the bus and be returned to Brighton where you will catch the train back to Central London.
- The stop at Seaford Head includes a 40-minute walk along country paths
- If Middle Farm is very busy, you will have a lunch stop at the nearby village of Alfriston
