Description

Visitors will learn about the lives and tastes of two of Britain’s most fashionable royal couples – King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra, and King George V and Queen Mary – from their family lives and personal collecting to their glittering social circles and spectacular royal events.

This is the first Royal Collection Trust exhibition ever to explore the Edwardian era and will bring together more than 300 items – almost half on display for the first time – including fashion, jewellery, paintings, photographs, books, sculpture and ceramics. Visitors will see works by the most renowned contemporary artists of the period, including Carl Fabergé, Frederic Leighton, Edward Burne-Jones, Laurits Tuxen, John Singer Sargent, Olive Edis, Philip de László, William Morris, Oscar Wilde and Edward Elgar.

  • Concessionary rates for disabled visitors and a complimentary companion ticket are only available to book directly with Royal Collection Trust.
  • On arrival, you and your belongings will be subject to airport-style security checks. Some items, such as large bags or backpacks, will have to be checked in and reclaimed at the end of the visit
