Description

I invite you to join me on a private spring tour from Amsterdam through Holland's tulip and windmill country. This tour is for your group only — no strangers, no fixed schedule, no rushing.
The day starts with pickup from your Amsterdam hotel, accommodation, or Schiphol Airport. Our first destination is Keukenhof, one of the most beautiful spring gardens in the world, where millions of tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths bloom in carefully designed gardens and pavilions. We take about two and a half hours here, at your own pace, with plenty of time for photos.
From Keukenhof we drive through the flower fields around Lisse — in season, the colored stripes stretch to the horizon, and we stop wherever the view is best.
The afternoon takes us to Zaanse Schans, the historic open-air area with working windmills, wooden houses, and traditional workshops. We visit a cheese farm for a tasting and watch craftsmen make wooden clogs. If you wish, you can step inside a working windmill (entrance fee paid on site).
As a professional guide living in the Netherlands since 1989, I'll share the history behind the tulips, the polders, and the windmills — and adjust the route and pace entirely to your interests.
