Description

Explore the wild, scenic side of West Maui on a relaxed, open-air sightseeing tour designed for fresh-air views and easy photo stops. Starting from the Kāʻanapali Resort area, you’ll hop into a breezy open-air vehicle with elevated seating for panoramic ocean and cliffside scenery, guided by a knowledgeable local team with an onboard sound system for clear narration.

As you cruise along West Maui’s coastal roads, you’ll stop at signature viewpoints and hidden gems. Take in sweeping vistas at the Coffee Farms Overlook, pass through the lush Kapalua Resort area, and enjoy the dramatic coastline from the Honolua Bay Lookout. You’ll also drive by an enchanted banyan tree forest, admire majestic red cliffs, and view the grandeur of the West Maui Mountain preserve.

A standout stop is the Nakalele Blowhole overlook, where you can witness the raw power of the ocean as waves surge through the lava rock formations (conditions permitting). The pace is intentionally unhurried so you can step out, breathe in the island air, and capture unforgettable photos. Depending on the day, the route may also include a stop for Mama Leis banana bread and homemade treats (food/drinks not included unless specified separately).

Good to know before you go
  • Please meet the Shaka Shuttle at Whalers Village shopping mall 15 minutes before the start of your tour in the grassy area in front of the valet/pick-up roundabout on the street side of the shopping mall where the bus pickups are. This is located behind the Tommy Bahama store in the mall
  • If you are driving to our pick-up location, please give yourself extra time to park and get to the pick-up location. There is parking available for a fee at the Whalers Village shopping mall parking structure. The address is 2435 Kaanapali Pkwy, Lahaina, HI 96761
