Description

Experience a sunset trek at 3,500 feet above sea level along the slopes of Haleakala with llamas.

Meet your guide at a specific location and follow them in your car to the trailhead. There you will get paired with a gentle and inquisitive llama. Our llamas love to meet people, they are incredibly sweet, and they love to go hiking! We will go over a quick briefing on how to handle their leads, and then we set off on a trek along a gravel road that becomes a grass path. The relatively flat path, traverses rolling hills and provides ample opportunities for incredible photos!

At 3500 ft above sea level, enjoy the crisp, cool Upcountry air and breathtaking views of the West Maui Mountains across the valley, the ocean, and surrounding islands. As the sun begins to set, everything becomes golden! Experience an area of Maui that many visitors miss and develop a deeper appreciation for this magical island.
