Description

Maunakea Summit is the highest point in the Pacific and offers a stunning night sky over Hawaii. This adventure takes you on a journey at sunset, bringing you as close as possible to the starry sky.

After enjoying a warm picnic dinner, delight in the awe-inspiring Hawaiian sunset at the top of Maunakea.
Descend to a lower elevation after the sun sets and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies during a private star show with our 11" Celestron telescope, and learn about Hawaiian star navigation. View deep space objects with our Stellina digital telescope. Digital images from the Stellina telescope will be emailed to you for you to share with friends and family.

Good to know before you go
  • What to Bring & Wear: Reusable water bottle, Closed-toe shoes, Warm Socks and/or leggings, long pants, and a sweatshirt or sweater. Winter parkas and gloves are provided.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Your pick-up time will be different than the tour start time displayed online. Please contact us to verify the meeting time.
  • Tour Minimum: We require a minimum of four guests for a tour to operate. Though infrequent, if your tour does not meet this minimum, we will notify you at least 24 hours in advance. In the event of a cancellation due to low participation, you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
