Description

Maunakea Summit is the highest point in the Pacific and offers a stunning night sky over Hawaii. This adventure takes you on a journey at sunset, bringing you as close as possible to the starry sky.

After enjoying a warm picnic dinner, delight in the awe-inspiring Hawaiian sunset at the top of Maunakea.
Descend to a lower elevation after the sun sets and enjoy hot chocolate and cookies during a private star show with our 11" Celestron telescope, and learn about Hawaiian star navigation. View deep space objects with our state-of-the-art digital astro-photography scope. Digital images will be emailed to you for you to share with friends and family.

Good to know before you go
  • What to Bring & Wear: Reusable water bottle, Closed-toe shoes, Warm Socks and/or leggings, long pants, and a sweatshirt or sweater. Winter parkas and gloves are provided.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Your pick-up time will be different than the tour start time displayed online. Please contact us to verify the meeting time.
  • Tour Minimum: We require a minimum of four guests for a tour to operate. Though infrequent, if your tour does not meet this minimum, we will notify you at least 24 hours in advance. In the event of a cancellation due to low participation, you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
