    • This tour includes photos and a video. I have taken photos for the last 10 years, like to think of myself as an amateur photographer
    • This will include drinks and snacks and banana bread. I normally have some fresh fruit, apple bananas, or some other locally grown produce. Drinks I have soda, bottled water, sparkling water, and occasionally some other mixed in drinks
    • I will bring towels for us. There’s no need to bring your own unless you want to
    • If we are entering any state, national parks, etc., all of the entry fees will be covered by me
    • The one thing that I do not include on my tours is lunch if we are on a full day tour, we will go to Hanna and we will stop at the food trucks and have an opportunity to purchase food here I will provide everything else that I have lifted above drinks, snacks photos Banana bread ? With the dietary restrictions that so many people have today I find it the best case scenario to just visit somewhere where there’s multiple food options both gluten-free vegetarian, vegan, etc..

We will begin this adventure at Hookipa Beach, where we may see Hawaiian green sea turtles, waves up to 40 feet high in winter, and, if we are lucky, the rare Hawaiian monk seal. This first stop allows a restroom opportunity. We will be here for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Our second stop takes us to the Keanae Peninsula. This is the oldest community on the island of Maui, dating back over 1,000 years. They have been harvesting taro here ever since people have lived here. You can still see taro beds growing today. We will also have the opportunity to go to Aunt Sandy’s for her famous banana bread. We also have the opportunity to explore the arboretum. This arboretum has been here for 50 years and has the largest trees on the island of Maui.

Our next stop takes us to Pua Kaa Falls. You will have the opportunity to watch, get in the water, or, if you are adventurous, jump from the waterfall, which is about 20 feet high. If you want to get wet, please bring clothes with you. There is a bathroom here to change into them. If you want to bring water shoes to get into the water there is an opportunity. The bottom is rough here so most people, barefoot find that they probably prefer to have a shoe on .

On the way back, we will stop at our last stop at the Wailua Falls overlook here. We will have a chance to look down upon the other part of the Keanae peninsula and see the famous white church that is built out of coral. This is a great spot to take photos. On some days, you can see as many as six waterfalls at one time from this lookout.

I have been leading tours in this area for seven years. I used to take 24 people at a time, but now I take groups of up to six. I will take photos at certain spots, and if you want a photo, just let me know. I will also put the photos into a video and send them to you later. If you have any questions, please contact me, and I will answer them to the best of my ability.

Good to know before you go

There is no phone service on the Road to Hana, and you may be without a reliable internet connection for a couple of hours. If I do not respond immediately, this is likely why. Please contact me with any questions, and I will reply as soon as possible
